When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

This is Wayne Dyer's approximation of one of the tenants of the Tao.  Byron Katie whom I love dearly rephrases the question to ask "Who would you be without that thought?".

Both questions often go unasked for far too long.  I find it difficult to live in a world where empty self-confidence trumps engaged compassion.
